L’edizione 2026 propone una riflessione sul cambiamento in atto nelle tecnologie digitali e nelle infrastrutture della conoscenza, mettendo al centro il rapporto tra autonomia digitale, etica e diritto dell’intelligenza artificiale e dei sistemi autonomi, la sicurezza e resilienza delle infrastrutture, la federazione di risorse e servizi, le opportunità e le criticità del cloud, le nuove frontiere del quantum computing, la valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale digitale, il software libero e open source come bene comune e l’uso responsabile dei dati per la ricerca.

The GARR Conference is the event where experiences on the use of infrastructures and digital services are shared by those who use the GARR network and those who actively contribute to its development and service improvement.
What will we talk about?
The conference offers a reflection on the ongoing transformation of digital technologies and knowledge infrastructures, placing at its core the relationship between digital autonomy, the ethics and law of artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous systems, infrastructure security and resilience, the federation of resources and services, the opportunities and challenges of cloud computing, the new frontiers of quantum computing, the enhancement of digital cultural heritage, open-source and free software as a common good, and the responsible use of data for research.
